Ministry Update: Kokrine Hills High School Camp

Kokrine Hills Bible Camp is off to a great start this week with the High School Camp. This past week there were four aircraft and pilots involved in flying in the staff and students. The students came to camp from Buckland, Nenana, Huslia, Selawick, Koyuk, Galena, Tanana, and Kobuck. After the students arrived, Joey Katches shared with the students how it had been a difficult year logistically getting ready for camp. However, in spite of this, each student was not there by chance. Each student was there because the camp staff had been praying for them for several months and more importantly, God had brought them there by his divine intervention.

After long days, hot temperatures, and bumpy rides it was a refreshing reminder for the staff and students that we serve an Almighty God who cares for each one of us and desires that we would commit our lives to Him! Please be praying for safe travels with all the smoke from forest fires and the hot temps driving thunderstorm activity this coming weekend. More importantly, please be praying that these students would glorify the Almighty God who is working on their behalf!

See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven. What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.
