Ministry Update: Burns Family Joins GCA

The GCA team is excited to have the Burns family join our ministry team, bringing with them years of foreign missions experience to aid in the GCA leadership.  The following is a short bio on Evan:

In addition to serving as the president of GCA, Evan Burns (Ph.D., Southern Baptist Theological Seminary) is Director of the M.A. in Global Leadership program at Western Seminary. He and his family have served as missionaries in the Middle East, East Asia, and most recently in Southeast Asia, where he has been on faculty at Asia Biblical Theological Seminary. He is Assistant Director for Collaboration and Content at the Lausanne Movement. He is the author of A Supreme Desire to Please Him: The Spirituality of Adoniram Judson.

His vision for GCA is that the desire to honor Christ among the unreached and undiscipled would motivate our efforts, that the Word of Christ would permeate our discipleship/training, and that lost souls and theologically famished believers among the Alaska Natives would arouse in us compassionate service.
